In an age where athletes are in the news for the wrong reasons, players smash helmets and break things, he did what he should have done.Mo Morrisseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14709079175426142527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31467474.post-66311179325588373912010-06-05T03:39:48.756-07:002010-06-05T03:39:48.756-07:00Sully I agree with you 100%

Often this is given to the best athlete, however, this year, I believe they should give the award those who truly show the best in sportsmanship.
My Vote is for Galarraga and Joyce --
Role models for how we all should behave as sportsman.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31467474.post-81159837813150884252010-06-04T15:03:30.992-07:002010-06-04T15:03:30.992-07:00Totally agree. He owned up to his mistake immediately, apologized, and fully owned that he ruined Galarraga's shot at history.CMACKnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31467474.post-53671020824494850942010-06-04T14:54:09.102-07:002010-06-04T14:54:09.102-07:00Some things that seem so important to us as humans...Some things that seem so important to us as humans to get, doesn't happen we are very upset. But then there's Mr. Galaragga. A REAL gentleman. I know he's probably upset, but the way he handled this situation during and after the wrong call, it puts a perfect game on the back burner. Here's life in your face. Mr. Joyce manned up and apoligized and Mr. Galaragga matched him in forgiveness. I think Shakespeare said, Men of sterner stuff. Being Tigers fan, I was angry, but watching what these two men's actions, made me feel bad about my behavior. They taught all of us that records are nice but owning up to your misktakes and forgiveness, that's what we should take away from this game.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31467474.post-31757164210317580852010-06-04T12:39:15.320-07:002010-06-04T12:39:15.320-07:00hammer meet nail headhammer meet nail headAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
