There was an ace caliber pitcher making an eagerly awaited start for a New York team last night... and it wasn't Joba. As of this writing, Pedro Martinez has three times as many Cy Youngs as Joba Chamberlain has Major League starts... but naturally Joba gets the attention.
Man I miss Pedro. He really has become that Fred Lynn, Carlton Fisk, Mo Vaughn, Nomar Garciaparra type that I root for and check the box scores to make sure he is doing well.
Sorry he beat your Giants, dad.
