Michael X. Ferraro returns to The Sully Baseball Show

Author, TV producer and friend of Sully Baseball, Michael X. Ferraro stopped by the Sully Baseball Show podcast tonight.

We discussed the Red Sox collapse, the Phillies hopes and why Cub fans should get more grief than Phillies fans.

It is the second hour of the Seamheads block on Monday night after What's On Second, the flagship show of the Seamheads National Podcasting Network.

Somewhere Grady Little is laiughing his ass off

People are now screaming that Charlie Manuel took Pedro out TOO SOON!

Keep in mind this was 6 seasons after the 7th Game in 2003 when all logic pointed to him being lifted in the 8th.

And he's had, what, 3 potential career ending injuries since then.

Yeah I know he was under 90 pitches. He also gave the Phillies 7 shutout innings when everyone on the planet was wondering if he could go more than 5.

To author and friend of Sully Baseball Michael X Ferraro's credit, he said on the phone to me during the 8th that Pedro should stay in since he only threw 87 pitches.

Have Utley turn a double play and this conversation is moot.

Happiness in Philadelphia?

The magic number for relief in Philadelphia is 4.
It's been a quarter century since one of Philadelphia's teams has won a title...

There are 30 year olds who grew up passionate sports fans in Philadelphia who have never experienced the satisfaction of a championship season.

4...

Now Mike Ferraro, co author of the great book Numbelievable and a big Phillies fan, thinks that an Eagles win would be the most satisfying of all for Philadelphia fans because they've never won a Super Bowl.

But I say after a quarter century you can't be picky.

I'm happy for Phillies fans today.
Hopefully they can be happy for the next 24 hours.

Now let's see a Red Sox/Phillies series!
