Do you remember Double-Play Baseball, a Lakeside Sports Dice Game?
Probably not. But I do, and it is actually a better game than I remembered.

Sounds like a podcast subject to me!

Sully Baseball Daily Podcast - December 27, 2012

I continued going through my closet and I dug out one of my favorite books as a kid.
The Ballpark by William Jaspersohn is a fascinating behind the scenes look at what happens at a ball game. Specifically, the book chronicles a day game at Fenway Park in 1978.

It was pretty cool then and an interesting time capsule now, and the topic of today's podcast.

Why are the Red Sox trading away young players for a closer in his 30s?
Because they won't listen to me! That's why.

On today's podcast, I ask the question. With all the changes and moves the Angels made this off season, are they better?

It is not as clear cut as you think.

Today I compare the idea of looking at the Home Run Leaders for all time with looking at the biggest box office movie hits.

It makes sense to me.

Sully Baseball Daily Podcast - December 16, 2012

On today's podcast, I enjoy the fact that in baseball we can have venom filled arguments about things that do not have the consequences of this week's horrible events.

And I get right back into the venom by laughing at the Yankees' interest in Vernon Wells and predict they will win no more than 85 games in 2013.

Angels Should Send Vernon Wells to New York at Once - A Bleacher Report Article

Vernon Wells is a player in his mid 30s whose skills are gone and his body is breaking down. Seems like a good fit for the Yankees to me!

In my latest for Bleacher Report, I urge the Angels to do the trade with the Yankees for Wells right away. You can read the entire article HERE.

Angels Are Making a Mistake with Josh Hamilton - A Bleacher Report Article

The big news today was that Josh Hamilton left the Texas Rangers to sign with the rival Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

And the news of the future will be how the contracts of Josh Hamilton and Albert Pujols will be handcuffing the Angels for years.

In my latest for Bleacher Report, I break down why this deal will be a dud for the Angels.

In today's podcast, I take a look at what the Diamondbacks got out of the three team deal. I know the price was high, but keeping the Justin Upton in his prime years might be worth a pitching prospect.
