Diamondbacks Should Keep Justin Upton and Make Peace with Him - A Bleacher Report Article

The Diamondbacks are continuing to shop Justin Upton. They are making a mistake.
As I wrote in my latest for Bleacher Report, they should make peace with their star and move forward in a winnable National League West.

Jack Morris' Candidacy Has No Chance on a Crowded 2014 Ballot - A Bleacher Report Article

Jack Morris missed the Hall of Fame election today. Next year will be his last shot.

And, as I wrote on Bleacher Report, his chances of getting elected next year are slim when you consider how crowded the ballot will be with legit Hall of Famers.

Tampa Bay Rays' Hope for a New Stadium Growing Dimmer and Dimmer - A Bleacher Report Article

The Rays need a new park.
They want a new park.
But their chances of getting one are nonexistent without public approval.

And as I wrote in an article for Bleacher Report, the folks of the Tampa Bay area are not putting a new ballpark at the top of their priorities!

Angels Should Send Vernon Wells to New York at Once - A Bleacher Report Article

Vernon Wells is a player in his mid 30s whose skills are gone and his body is breaking down. Seems like a good fit for the Yankees to me!

In my latest for Bleacher Report, I urge the Angels to do the trade with the Yankees for Wells right away. You can read the entire article HERE.

Angels Are Making a Mistake with Josh Hamilton - A Bleacher Report Article

The big news today was that Josh Hamilton left the Texas Rangers to sign with the rival Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

And the news of the future will be how the contracts of Josh Hamilton and Albert Pujols will be handcuffing the Angels for years.

In my latest for Bleacher Report, I break down why this deal will be a dud for the Angels.

Angels Should Focus on Kyle Lohse - A Bleacher Report Article

The Dodgers have signed Zack Greinke to a bonkers six year deal.

It was the Angels who dodged a bullet there. In my latest article for Bleacher Report, I make the case that the Angels should focus on former Cardinals pitcher Kyle Lohse to make up for Greinke's departure.

Why would the Marlins want A-Rod? A Bleacher Report Article

Keith Olbermann wrote on his baseball blog that the Yankees and Marlins are kicking around the idea of a trade. And it makes partial sense because A-Rod and the Yankees are heading for an inevitable messy divorce. But in my latest article for Bleacher Report I ask the question: Even if the Yankees paid most of the contract, why would the Marlins want him? You can read the whole article HERE. Cardinals Are Becoming the Strangest Dynasty in MLB History - A Bleacher Report Article

The Cardinals are like a B- student who turns around and aces the final.
They play just well enough to get into the post season and then it seem like nobody can stop them.

In my latest article for Bleacher Report, I brought up their great recent success and how history will be very kind to the team that looks like a budding dynasty from afar.

Rangers' Epic Collapse Could Signal the Decline of the Team - A Bleacher Report Article

Less than 2 weeks ago, the two time defending American League Champion Texas Rangers had the best record in the American League and were the favorite to win the pennant again.

Today they are playing golf.

As I wrote in my latest for Bleacher Report, this is a collapse that is not only heart breaking in the short term, but could very well be the shutting of the window of opportunity of a Rangers World Series title.

Post Season Managers and Their Hall of Fame Chances - A Bleacher Report Slideshow

A s the 2012 post season starts, the focus will be on the players and who will take home the World Series title. But for the managers, a ring not only is a crowning achievement for a season, but it could be a building block for a Hall of Fame career.

In my latest for Bleacher Report, I take a look at the skippers and imagine what the 2012 championship would mean to their reputation.

Last year Lance Berkman, Arthur Rhodes and Octavio Dotel got theirs.

Ozzie Guillen Might Not Get Another Chance to Manage If the Marlins Fire Him - A Bleacher Report Article

Ozzie Guillen is going to be fired.
It is inevitable.
The Marlins were a disaster on the field and he is causing trouble off of it.

If the Marlins can him, would anyone give him another chance?

As I wrote in Bleacher Report, there just might be too much baggage for anyone to take the risk bringing in Ozzie.

A's Have Two of the Worst Kind of Losses in Two Days - A Bleacher Report Article

Not all losses are created equally.

And the Oakland A's experienced the two worst kids of losses in back to back days.

As I wrote in my latest for Bleacher Report, it is always better to lose 10-0 than 2-1 or 10-9.

Dodgers Need to Make the Playoffs to Justify the Red Sox Trade - A Bleacher Report Article

Remember the big trade that the Dodgers and Red Sox made?
Remember how it was going to put the Dodgers over the top?

As I wrote in my latest for Bleacher Report, the Dodgers won the first game after the deal and then dropped 12 of the next 17 games and are fading from the playoff picture.

They had better make the playoffs because this was a deal for short term gains. It is only going to get worse when the contracts go on and the players break down.

MLB Should Have Instant Replay for the End of a Game - A Bleacher Report Article

Jerry Meals blew yet another game ending call... and this one came in a September pennant race!

In my latest article for Bleacher Report, I asked an obvious question: Why can't we use Instant Replay for a game ending play?

Is there a logical reason to not use it?

Please let me know.

Nationals End Stephen Strasburg's Season and Move on - A Bleacher Report Article

The madness of the Stephen Strasburg season has come to an end.
The Nationals, on the verge of the first post season that Washington has seen since 1933, have made the decision to weaken their team with the expectation that they will be great in 2013 and beyond.

And as I wrote in Bleacher Report, that is a very risky bet.

The Bobby Valentine Joke is getting old - a Bleacher Report article

I called for Bobby Valentine to be fired in April.
I wasn't wrong.

I'm not saying the Red Sox would have won the pennant if they did that, but correct mistakes earlier rather than later is what I say.

The Red Sox have an off day today. As I wrote in Bleacher Report. after the 1-8 road trip and his WEEI rant, there is no better time to fire him than now.

He has done worse than lose the respect of the team. He has become a punchline. And there's no recovery from that.

Angels Are Back in the Playoff Hunt Thanks to the Red Sox - A Bleacher Report Article

The Angels were dead in the water, hovering slightly above .500 and fading in the playoff hunt. Then a beautiful thing happened to them: They played the Red Sox six times in a nine game stretch.

As I wrote in Bleacher Report, the Angels season was turned around by feasting on the miserable fortune of my beloved yet awful Red Sox.

Red Sox should try to sign Roger Clemens - A Bleacher Report Article

Seriously. Why shouldn't the Red Sox bring back Clemens for a month?
Afraid it will ruin a season?
Afraid it will upset chemistry?

Have you SEEN this team?

In my latest for Bleacher Report, I argue that there is no real reason to at least offer a return to the Rocket.

After all the fried chicken and beer consumed by Red Sox pitching, it would be nice to see a starter putting a substance in his body with the intention of improving his performance.
