OK, my preseason pick of the A's to win it all didn't come true... at all.But here's something that could make me look slightly less stupid for picking them:
They haven't clinched a losing record!
They have 7 games left.
If they win all 7, they will finish the season 82-80.
Granted, that will still fall far short of a division title... but at least they aren't going to be a 90+ loss debacle.
OK, fine. The pick sucked.

ReplyDeleteI also picked the Cardinals and said the Cubs weren't making the playoffs when everyone and their moose said the Cubs were winning the pennant.

Reds
