DOING STAND UP ON THE BONNIE HUNT SHOW

My insanely cool boss, Bonnie Hunt, and my fantastic executive producer, Daniel Kellison, gave me the chance to do stand up comedy on The Bonnie Hunt Show.

It was a very cool and almost surreal experience.

I've produced so many segments on the show, but to actually perform and be one of the guests was an out of body experience.

And it is one thing to do one of my appearances on ESPN2 or HBO Sports... but doing my stand up for a television audience was a whole other bag of wax.

Here is my stand up set.

And here I am chatting with Bonnie.

I tried to talk about Home Grown vs Acquired Rosters on the show, but it would have probably been edited out.

Thanks in public, Bonnie, Daniel, Brina, Don, Mya and everyone at work for being supportive of me.

Now back to baseball.

Very cute show. This blatant self-aggrandizing is a bit tacky though, and you had a bit of lipstick on your teeth.
But your work was very nice, very similar to the stand up you did in your high school days.

But I thought it was "Sully Baseball".
But don't mind me, I was just a touch disapppointed when I saw your stand-up bit, because I guess I had confused you with that snappy dude who flew into some geese with his Airbus and subsequently ditched said plane in the Hudson. Do you know if that Sully has a blog?
And if so, can he handle a bit of harmless needling?

  7. Oh I have no problem with some harmless needling... I just prefer it not be from someone anonymous

You said we went to high school together... curious to whom is doing the needling

And yes it is Sully Baseball... notice which comes first!

How about "The Crazy Happy Sully Blog!!!! (and Some Baseball)"?
Now we're cooking with diesel, baby!
The traffic generated by the Eastern Rim would be off the charts!
No and no, we didn't go to school together.
Nor did I say you were not needle-proof.
But the latter seems obvious enough now.

  9. Ahhh... I was just confused by the "very similar to the stand up you did in your high school days" comment.

Thought it was a high school friend needling me.
