Tee Hee


























I know it's only one game...

I know lots of teams have lost the first game and gone on to win the World Series.

I know lots of pitchers have terrible starts and go on to win the Cy Young


But man it was fun watching the Yankees new $161 million toy bomb and for at least one day have Yankee fans wonder "Is this guy another Kevin Brown?"

    1) Kevin Brown didn't sign that contract with the Yankees.

    2) On balance, Brown was absolutely worth the money when healthy.

    3) Sabathia had a terrible start to last season and is generally known as a slow starter.

    I can't stand the Yankees, but I think Sabathia is worth the money if anyone is.

    I know the Yankees traded Jeff Weaver for Kevin Brown (a trade that was declared great when it happened)

    The Dodgers gave him the contract and the first two years he did indeed pitch like an ace... but there's also no denying the Yankees were stuck with a BRUTAL contract that they couldn't dump after 2004
