Hmmm... maybe Fernando Nieve isn't so bad

I've been trashing Fernando Nieve, especially when I questioned the existence of the Yankees advance scouting department.

I mean HOW could a scrub like Fernando Nieve, an Astros cast off, shut down the Yankees?

Well today he shut down the NL Central leading Cardinals.

He pitched 6 shutout innings and raised his record to 3-0 with a 1.31 ERA and has helped keep the Mets in the race.
