The Most Recent No Hitter For Each Franchise (Updated for July 27, 2011)

Ervin Santana threw the first no hitter ever for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The last no hitters for the franchise were for the CALIFORNIA Angels.

No hitters always look strange when the losing team scored a run... but not as strange as combined no hitters (which was the last no hitter the team had when Mark Langston and Mike Witt combined in 1990).

Great work Mr. Santana.

Let's update the list.

  1. The weirdest combined no hitter - six Astros vs. the Yankees in 2003. Loved watching it happen to the Yankees (being of Red Sox allegiance) but still just real strange to watch happen.

  2. Combination no hitter? Does that even count? Why do you take out pitchers that were throwing no hitters?

  3. I remember when Kent Merker threw that no hitter for the Braves. People went nuts thought he was going to be the next Maddux or Glavine. I remember a local store in the mall had his rookie card and they jacked the price up after the no hitter. That store was shady as hell.
