Vanessa Thompson, granddaughter of Hall of Famer Turkey Stearnes, visits The Sully Baseball Show

Vanessa Thompson, former Division 1 basketball player, is the guest on the Sully Baseball podcast. Her grandfather was the late Negro League star Turkey Stearnes who was elected to the baseball Hall of Fame in 2000.

We talked about her grandfather's legacy, learning about the Hall of Fame election while taking a driving test, her grandmother's speech at Cooperstown and a few stories that will make you cheer for Curtis Granderson.

And I also figured out why a native of Michigan is a Boston Celtics fan!

It is the second half of the Seamheads radio block on Monday night.
