Sully Baseball Daily Podcast - July 23, 2013

Today The Sully Baseball Daily Podcast, I can not avoid PEDs... or at least talking about them.

Ryan Braun was lying the whole time, to the shock of exactly nobody. And I can't honestly look you in the eye and say I wouldn't juice to help my show.

Andrew McCutchen, J.J. Hardy, Matt Moore and Dillion Gee all owned baseball on July 22, 2013.

Sully Baseball Daily Podcast - June 5, 2013

Today's edition of The Sully Baseball Daily Podcast looks at the Biogenesis scandal that is rocking baseball.

And by "rocking baseball" I mean a "lame non story filled with stuff we already know.

Prince Fielder, David Phelps, Josh Collmenter and Yasiel Puig (second in as many games in the majors!) all owned baseball on June 4, 2013.

Sully Baseball Daily Podcast - February 16, 2013

Today's podcast contains spoilers to the movie Flight.
I connect Denzel Washington's character in that film to Ryan Braun.

Trust me. It makes sense.

Ryan's Hope

Oh this should clear everything up.
Ryan Braun tests positive and gets off because his sample was contaminated, damaged, left outside in the rain, microwaved and mixed with Mountain Dew.

Baseball and Braun went to arbitration and Ryan Braun became the first person to beat the rap.

So yeah, we need to go forward legally giving Ryan Braun the benefit of the doubt.
Will anyone?

I guess so, if the reaction to Jeff Bagwell speculation is any indication.

What do I think?
Did Ryan Braun take something or did MLB mess up his sample?

Are they mutually exclusive?

May I suggest tightly securing lids from now on, MLB?

The Brewers should sign Manny to replace Ryan Braun

Well won't this MVP presentation be awkward for Ryan Braun on opening day.
"Here's your trophy. Now sit down for the next 50 games for being caught with PEDs."

They should bring in Manny to replace him while he is sitting out his suspension.

He's rested, won't cost him a draft pick, is usually good when he arrives on a team and hey... you can't play the whole "We don't want a juicer on our team" angle.

Yeah it's sad because Braun seemed like a good guy and easy to root for. But the guy tested positive, and how much of a blockhead do you have to be to come up positive in this day and age.

Yeah yeah yeah, he didn't do it. Just like Andy Pettitte didn't. Just like Rafael Palmeiro didn't do it.

Either way, let me just say I don't feel so dumb thinking Matt Kemp was the MVP of the National League over Ryan Braun!

(Quick, someone test Matt Kemp.)

Thank God for XM!

I took my kids to a museum and playground in Pasadena today and when I drove back home, I was able to flip around on the XM in time to hear...

Ryan Braun's homer
The back to back homers by Helms and Uggla
The Twins winning
The White Sox winning
Milwaukee going nuts with Sabathia, arguably the greatest rental of all time, going the distance
The surreal sound of the morgue known as Shea Stadium when the last out was made

All the while driving back to South Pasadena with my guys.

When Ryan Braun homered I said "WOW!" as loud as I could. And with the crowd cheering, I looked back and saw my boy Matty clapping. He didn't know what was happening, he knew it was big.

I looked back at his twin brother Aidan.
He asked me "Is Sabathia going the distance?"
