The Braves couldn't sell out the game

Think about that for a second...
This is a potential elimination playoff game.
The first three games in this series have been down to the wire nail biters with late lead changes.
It is could be the FINAL GAME of the Bobby Cox era, the greatest run in the history of Atlanta sports.

And if you wanted to go to the game, just go up to the ticket window before the game and say "One Please."

That, my dear readers, is a DISGRACE.

  1. I had to work until 7:45 and barely heard the first inning on the radio. I was unemployed or underemployed for the vast majority of 2009. My finances unfortunately cannot accommodate ditching the job that singlehandedly supports my family and spending the electricity bill on a playoff ticket. I apologize for being poor and a disgrace. In summary, fuck you.

that is a disgrace, that stadium should have been packed, the games have been, if not well executed, fun to watch. and in 08 as a poor med student i still managed to scrounge up enough to go see the phils in the series, thats dedication

dude, Atlanta residents are all displaced Northerners. You've got more Braves fans in Virginia than Nats fans. Alabama, Mississippi, Carolinas, Northern Florida would all love to make the drive to the most traffic infested city with no public transit, but can't make plans on a weeknight 6 hours away for games that might not even happen.

Not saying it's not disgraceful, but cut the REAL braves fans some slack. It's Braves Country, not Braves City.

Atlantans doesn't care about baseball. It's not a baseball town, it's a college football town. The surrounding area is the same way. I know more out of state Brave's fans because of TBS then locals.

Also, no one wants to get their hopes up. They are conditioned for early playoff exits.

A fan base should show up for the playoffs.

Atlanta has terrible fans. During their Division streak, when the economy was not an issue, they made it to Game 7 of the NLCS and did not sell out. That market doesn't support their team. It's terrible.
