In honor of Mark Bellhorn...

... who EVERY Red Sox fan wanted benched after 5 ALCS games in 2004 (including me)

... who Francona started anyway

... who hit a three run homer (in a call the umps got right) in game 6 in Yankee Stadium that turned a 1-0 lead into a 4-0 lead (the Sox would win 4-2)

... who the next night hit a key home run in the 8th that killed any Yankee momentum after the bizarre Pedro relief appearance and all but clinched the AL Pennant

... who the next game, Game 1 of the World Series, hit the game winning home run in the 8th inning off the foul pole

... who in the next game, Game 2 of the World Series, smacked a 2 out 2 run double that turned a 2-1 game into a 4-1 game and crushed the Cardinals hope of stealing a game in Boston

... who proved Francona's faith in him was deserved and made a case to be World Series MVP!

THE MAGIC NUMBER IS 12!
