The other day Nomar Garciaparra signed with the A’s… before the Yankees found out they needed a third baseman.
Fellow Red Sox fans, don’t think for a nanosecond that the Yankees wouldn’t have made overtures to Nomar to fill in. They like former Red Sox icons and Nomar would only have to be a place filler.
I would like to thank the big Red Sox fan in the sky for sparing us the sight of Nomar in pinstripes and hearing him talk about how he's always loved the tradition of the Yankees.
That would have broken my little heart :( The divorce is ugly enough as it is, please.. no more salt in the wounds!
ReplyDeleteBut think about it: Nomar, A-Rod, Jeter all on the same team. Unthinkable a decade ago.
