Who is Dan Haren laughing at? THE GIANTS?

Why?

Because the Diamondback pitcher drove in 3 runs on Friday... which was THREE TIMES as many runs as the Giants scored all weekend against the A's.

Hey Giants... why not try to get Haren? AS A HITTER?

Seriously, bring up Buster Posey!

  1. so do you just like to poke fun at the giants? or do you really want to see them do well? it seems like you have more interest in them then any other team lately. Yah bring up Posey, he will solve everything...BLAH BLAH. Sure he will be a viable bat in the line-up but at this point they need more. A trade. etc..

  2. I go through pockets of writing about teams... I wrote a bunch about the Pirates, Reds, A's and Nationals already. Last 2 years I would check in with the Marlins a lot.

The Giants are my second favorite team. They are the team my dad roots for and if the Red Sox can't win the World Series (which I don't think they will this year) I hope it will be the Giants.

And I think the Giants have the pitching to do it... which is why it is so frustrating. Most teams need the pitching but Los Gigantes just need a couple of bats.

Now maybe Sanchez will add a litle spark to the team but they need a real line drive hitter and maybe.... juuuuuust maybe... 2010 will be a great year in San Francisco.

And it is driving me bonkers that they thought Mark DeRosa and Aubrey Huff were the answers

  4. It has been frustrating year so far, it seems like they had less talent on offense last year but won games they havent been winning lately. Oakland series was up for grabs, we just couldnt get a hit to save our lives. I am also in huge favor of shaking it up, something needed to happen a while ago. I think Posey should get a call up and they should trade some pitching for a bat, maybe Johnathan sanchez. You would still have Lincecum, Zito, Cain, and could then call up Bumgardner who is kicking ass in AAA. I am just not sure who they could trade for. Me and a friend were thinking of who would help in the line-up and it would need to be a series of guys. Its not something that can be anwsered, but Huff has been average and DeRosa has been an disapointment. It is time for a shake up!

  5. Though not a Giants fan, here is my take...

    Call up Posey.
Sign Pat Burrell or Jermaine Dye. Burrell has expressed interest in joining Giants - he would be close to home.
Trade Jonathan Sanchez and a prospect - Roger Kieschnick comes to mind, to the Rays for Carl Crawford.
